Delta Exercise

This started out as an exercise in geometry parametrization around a spinning axis while getting further away by the main core as seen in the first picture below. The exercise stemmed from a previous tower example where 3 columns spiraled around a middle invisible core. In this example, I started out the encoding process with only one tower to see the results and play with the angle of rotation for the tower.

Consecutively I kept adding more and more columns around this invisible core to see how the geometry looks in relation to the other components. This turned into a yin and yang feeling structure and that is all nice and all but not what we are striving for. I want something more modern and intricate with self-intersection. So we continue.

This next picture illustrates the 3rd iteration of the design studio. It includes a telescoping middle core as a way to unify and catch more attention. I really enjoy the challenge of taking the geometry and sending commands which seem should not be going through in that particular order. This frees me and allows me to generate geometry that is unique and generally not similar to other geometry.

Yet I was still not happy with the design and thus I decided to continue to work on the geometry and create complex snippets from previous iterations to derive a single entity of multi-core self-intersecting geometry seen below.

If you follow any column all the way to the top you will have to intersect two other core columns and thus flow of air resources, people, and ideas are further enhanced and cross-pollination is also a component that will thrive in this setting. Although difficult to create elevators for this design it would not be impossible and thus creating an incredible vision of future cooperation between departments and aggregate efficiencies.

It seems as though they were strands of a steel cable without the main core.

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed creating it.
